That is why we offer our reduced Moving-On-Prices.

The prices are daily rates for Ayurveda cure guests and include: accommodation, full Ayurvedic board, medical consultation, and daily Ayurvedic treatments. All taxes and the service charge customary in Sri Lanka are included in the prices.

After six years of agonising, stressful and unsightly psoriasis, I was so desperate in March 2025 that I finally decided to try an Ayurvedic treatment. A colleague of Sri Lankan descent recommended Sandaru Lanka. I didn’t expect miracles, as I had already tried too many things without success. My Ayurvedic treatment began in mid-May. Massages everywhere with lots of aromatic oils. The doctor made his pulse diagnosis. With simple means, but a lot of experience. He promised me he would do everything in his power to at least make my psoriasis more bearable; and then also do something about my high blood pressure, cholesterol and knee pain. However, 16 days was far too short a time. The meal plan was adapted to my doshas and the treatments were determined. In the end, the result was sensational. But Dr Nalaka also said that I had cooperated well. Something like this can only be achieved together. After almost four weeks at home, I was wearing dresses and shorts in public again and no one looked at me strangely. The effects lasted until mid-September. So at least I was able to enjoy a wonderful summer the like o which I hadn’t had in years. It’s time to fly back to Sri Lanka.

We had booked three days, no more – just to get a taste, we thought. As soon as we arrived, it was clear to us that this would not be enough, and we extended our stay to five days. To explore more and delve deeper into what this resort stands for, you need more time, much more time. I celebrated my 60th birthday here. What was organised for me here was so full of love that I have tears in my eyes when I think about it. Sometimes a day can be perfect, even on this earth. Time on this earth is our most precious good, but it is only valuable to us if it is filled with joie de vivre. That is what this resort stands for. Here, there is time and space where loving people take care of everything the body needs to give the soul room to find itself and heal, if necessary. Filled with deep gratitude for the service, which is not service but love for the people who stay here, we travel on with a heavy heart. What we have received here is not a holiday memory, but a gift to our innermost selves.

The therapists were very attentive and caring. It wasn’t just a matter of ‘working through’ the patients, but rather of always taking an empathetic approach. On the very first evening, we met Dr Nalaka, who completely amazed us with his pulse diagnosis. Without any prior knowledge about us, he diagnosed our current complaints and even long-past operations with 100% accuracy. Simply incredible! After this anamnesis, the Ayurvedic doctor drew up our treatment plan, which included a lot of detoxification. He was on site every day, observing the treatments and our state of health. He adjusted the treatment plan as needed. We have never experienced such intensive and empathetic medical care. We have been back home for two months now. Claus no longer needs any medication and his blood pressure is still perfect. He had been taking medication for 15 years. What’s more, he hasn’t had a single headache since our stay. My migraines have also become much less frequent, from twice a week (!) to once or twice a month. This is truly remarkable and has greatly improved my quality of life. A big thank you!

Dear Susanne and Thushara, I have now been back in Europe for a couple of weeks, but I still have the beautiful Sri Lanka sun shining within. As I told Thushara a lot of times, I truly appreciated Sandaru Lanka. The aesthetics of your place is lovely, simple clean, quiet and inviting. Your staff is amazing! Beautiful people wanting you to have the best of times. The treatments were extremely good. I have been 5-6 times in Kerala on Ayurvedic retreats, and I must say you are on my top 2. The therapists were so accomplished, and for me in particular lovely Kavindu. The food was great, although sometimes being a vegetarian, I found there wasn’t enough food in the evening, however your lovely chef rectified that when I told him. I was in general overwhelmed by the “way and beyond” hospitality. It’s very special to be treated with that kind of attention thank you so much. Room no. 5 was perfect, quiet, serene and full of really good energy. There is no doubt in my mind, when I return to Sri Lanka, hopefully!! I will stay at your beautiful property. A very heartfelt and special thanks to Thushara and his incredible family, who were so attentive, and took care of me in the best possible way. I will most definitely warmly recommend you.

“When I saw the garden with a view of the sea, I was in heaven. Green and bright blue, the combination of the sound of the sea and fluffy soft grass. An absolute must for anyone who wants to really relax. Feasting on rice and curry under the shade of a big tree overlooking the sea was bliss. Being born in Sri Lanka, I could really appreciate how well, carefully and freshly prepared the food was. The staff were incredibly accommodating and made me feel at home. “The sound of the sea and colourful, sparkling sunsets, a little diamond: in Sandaru Lanka, you live among the locals who fish for a living. You can watch the fishermen in the large bay and linger in the small one. The beautiful green property slopes down to the sea in terraces, where you can relax after an Ayurvedic massage. We also visited the harbour in Maggona with its large fish market and its hustle and bustle. One of the special excursions in the immediate vicinity was a visit under a full moon to the temple with the large Buddha statue. The route to Galle or the Brief Garden are also worthwhile excursions. The upper room ‘Heaven’ in Villa Sandaru with its long window front frames the view of the sea like a picture. Our tasty evening meal at the tip of the bay was often highlighted by the dramatic colours of the sunset. There we marvelled at wonderfully clear nights with full and half-moons.”
