Residence Regulations

Subject to individual agreements, our following residence regulations apply:

Booking and payment of your stay and your Ayurveda cure

Our offers include full board, Ayurvedic food and drinks as well as Ayurveda cure packages.

In response to your non-binding inquiry, we will send you a customized offer (Ayurveda cure days or overnight stay with full board), which you can accept with binding effect (“booking”). With the booking you also confirm these residence regulations as well as the receipt of the cancellation policy sent to you with the offer.

Upon acceptance of your booking, we will send you an invoice for your individual package price; 50% of this is due as a deposit within 8 days of receipt of the invoice. The remaining amount is due for payment no later than 14 days before departure.

Any additional costs incurred for airport transfers, additional excursions or round trips are not included in the package price. Airport transfers and excursions are payable in cash in euros on arrival.

Would you like a round trip? Then this must be booked and paid for at the same time as your booking to enable us to prepare. Excursions, on the other hand, can either be booked in advance or later when you are at Sandaru Lanka. Excursions have to be paid in cash in euros.

The package price / deposit amount offered to you is to be transferred to our account in Sri Lanka in euros, stating the invoice number and your name:

We will confirm receipt of payment immediately.

Please note that payments abroad with foreign currencies incur transfer fees, which are entirely at your expense. Please contact your bank, which will inform you about the modalities and assist you with the transfer; this will ensure that we receive the invoice amount in full, i.e. that no reduced payment amount is booked and we have to make additional claims.

Check-in / Check-out

Please note the following check-in and check-out times.

  • Check-in: from 14:00
  • Check-out: until 10:30 a.m.

Are you arriving very early and want breakfast or are you staying longer on the last day? This is also possible if your room is not booked immediately afterwards. Please contact us in good time. We will try to accommodate your request. If you also wish to have Ayurvedic meals on these days, these must be paid for separately before check-in or after check-out. The price per person for breakfast is

  • 15.00 euros for breakfast,
  • lunch 25.00 euros
  • dinner 25.00 euros.

The price for your Ayurveda Cure and your stay with full board includes (in each case) all treatments, Ayurvedic food, drinks and accommodation.

Cancellation conditions

These cancellation conditions are an integral part of your booking. If you cancel or change your booking for your stay and Ayurveda treatment, the following cancellation deadlines apply:

  • Up to 30 days before arrival: cancellation possible free of charge.
  • 29 to 15 days before arrival: 25% of the total price will be charged.
  • 14 to 8 days before arrival: 50% of the total price will be charged.
  • 7 days to 1 day before arrival: 75% of the total price will be charged.

On the day of arrival or in case of no-show: 100% of the total price will be charged.

You are at liberty to prove to us that no damage or significantly less damage has been incurred than the lump sum demanded by us. In cases of force majeure (e.g. natural disasters, pandemics), Sandaru Lanka reserves the right to find individual solutions in consultation with you. This may also include (depending on availability) rebooking free of charge, without any entitlement to this.

In the event of serious illness or an emergency (including that of an immediate family member), an exception to the above conditions may be considered on presentation of a medical certificate.

In any case, we recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance to protect yourself against cancellation costs due to unforeseen events.

Cancellations must be made at least by e-mail (text form) and are valid from the date on which they are received by us.

These cancellation conditions apply to all bookings from 01.01.2024.
If you are forced to cancel your vacation or cure prematurely for other reasons or to change services during your stay, we are generally not obliged to refund any part of the package price. However, we will of course help you to arrange or adapt your stay in a way that suits you best.

Special regulations regarding Ayurveda treatments and your stay in general

Our Ayurveda treatment program supports your health care but can never replace the treatment of an acute illness in a hospital.
If our Ayurveda doctor deems it impracticable to carry out a treatment planned as part of your Ayurveda treatment due to your state of health, this will not result in any adjustment to the package price. This applies to the Ayurveda treatment itself and not to individual treatments. If our Ayurveda doctor recommends alternative forms of treatment in this case, these are also covered by the package price.

We are only liable for complications during an Ayurveda treatment (allergic reactions to food, massage oils, medication or minor hematomas during acupuncture) in cases of intent or gross negligence.

We do not grant refunds for services booked and not used (also due to illness) during your stay and your Ayurveda treatment.

Sandaru Lanka in Maggona offers you an authentic experience of Sri Lanka’s vibrant culture and traditions. Due to the location of our property, you will also be part of the colorful everyday life, which is characterized by local customs, religious rituals and festivities. These cultural expressions can at times lead to increased background noise that differs from what you may be used to in Germany. Please note that we as providers cannot accept any responsibility for noise disturbances or disturbances resulting from the natural and cultural environment of our property.

Please understand that we cannot accept any liability for services provided by third parties (e.g. transportation, round trips etc.) unless we are your contractual partner.
